York City’s new loan signing Alex Pattison is hoping to showcase his talents at Bootham Crescent and earn a move to a Football League club next month.

Pattison, 20, is set to feature during Saturday’s FA Trophy first round tie at Kidderminster Harriers having agreed a switch to the Minstermen on youth terms.

That means he will still be able to play for Boro’s under-23 side during his time with City and the Darlington-born midfielder has admitted he is targeting a chance at a club higher in the football pyramid during the second half of the campaign.

Speaking to City’s official website, Pattison said: “I’ve come for a month to try and get some games and then maybe get a League club in January. I want to get out and play in the League and want to use this as a platform really.”
