Former England international Paul Konchesky has left East Thurrock United after five games of the new season.

The former Liverpool and West Ham United defender had signed for the Vanarama National League South club earlier this summer, but the 37-year-old announced his departure via Twitter on Sunday.
Konchesky tweeted: Jus wanna wish everyone involved etufc_ all the best for the rest of the season! I leave the club by mutual consent! Good luck to the boys
East Thurrock have lost all five of their league games so far, leaving them the only side without a point in the division. Konchesky, who won two caps for England and was a goalscorer for West Ham in the 2006 FA Cup final, had moved into non-league with Billericay Town in 2017.
