Manager John Pemberton praised the “outstanding” performance of his Kidderminster players in Saturday’s 2-0 win over Altrincham, writes Eliot Ball (for the club website).

Ashely Chambers grabbed a brace to take his season tally to eight goals, the side recording a much-needed first home win of the term in the process.

While being thrilled with the effort put in by all of those in red, the boss gave mention to attacking duo, Richard Peniket and Ashley Chambers, who he described as “magnificent.”

“It’s nice to get the monkey off the back as they say,” he said, the win being the team’s first Aggborough league win since early April.

“I thought [it] was an unbelievable performance. [On Friday] we trained, and I didn’t have a team, due to a couple of the lads being ill, and one or two were carrying knocks.

“So, to say that they’ve done that this afternoon is massive, massive praise to every one of them – they’ve been magnificent.”
