Penn & Tylers Green have appointed Michael Herbert as their new manager.

Herbert has a wealth of experience at Step 6, having led Woodley to promotion to Step 5, and winning the Berks and Bucks Cup before moving onto Sandhurst Town, where he led his team to the Berks and Bucks Final before the COVID-19 outbreak brought a halt to the season.

He is a UEFA B-qualified coach and will be assisted by Darryl Jelly, his current assistant at Sandhurst.

Commenting on the appointment, chairman Tony Hurst said: “We are delighted to have secured the services of a highly qualified and experienced manager in Michael. We have tracked his progress over the last few years after crossing swords during his time as Woodley manager and we are delighted to have secured the services of a young, ambitious, qualified, experienced, winning manager.”
