Ady Pennock wants new signings in at Holker Street this week. The Barrow AFC boss hopes to have at least one new recruit in his squad before Saturday’s National League trip to FC Halifax Town.

He spent Sunday afternoon watching one of his targets in action, with a final decision set to be made on whether he was right for the Holker Street set-up after that match.

“I’m going to make the final decision,” said Pennock. “I have to do my homework, I can’t just sign anybody blind.

“I will do a lot of travelling, a lot of homework, a lot of DVD work, see what their characters are like. They’ve got to be right for us – I can’t sign anyone who’s not right for us. I’m talking about attitude as well.”
