St Neots Town manager Matt Clements says results are more important than performances at this stage in the season, particularly in terms of selling the club to potential new signings.

The Saints are on track to register a top half finish for the campaign, currently sitting 12th following their 2-1 victory over Redditch United at the Premier Plus Stadium on Saturday. The boss didn’t feel as if his side hit the required standards in terms of the way they played in Saturday’s game, but says he’d take the three points over a good display at present.

“On reflection, the performance wasn’t great, our standards weren’t fantastic. We’ve played better and picked up nothing this year, so all in all I’m pleased. At this stage in the season, that’s all that matters now,” Clements said.
