Striker Rhys Nevins has returned to Atherton Collieries after a agreeing a permanent deal with the EVO-STIK League newboys.
The former Jamaican youth international signed on Thursday in time to play for the 2016-17 North West Counties League Premier Division champions at Hallam FC in the Emirates FA Cup on Sunday.
Colls manager Michael Clegg told fans was delighted to bring Nevins, pictured, back for a second spell after he joined the EVO-STIK League North club on a dual registration deal from Ashton United last August and scored in a victory against Barnton before returning to Hurst Cross after making four appearances.
Ahead of Sunday’s preliminary round tie, Clegg told fans via the club’s website: “Rhys is a great player. His season was cut short last year through injury. When he was with us last time he gelled with all the lads so quickly and was well liked by us all. He is athletic, powerful and dynamic and he will bring a lot to the side.”
Nevins became Clegg’s second signing of the week after midfielder Kristian Holt agreed to return to Alder House from NWCFL Premier Division side Runcorn Linnets.
