Pickering Town manager Steve Roberts has paid tribute to supporters for their donations to the club.

In a statement from Roberts on the club website, he said:

During these very difficult times we are currently going through, I would like to personally thank each and everyone who have donated money to the club.

Be assured that the most important thing at this present time is the health of well being of everybody.

But due to the impact of the Coronavirus this will potentially cause some clubs in the non league to really struggle financially!

Pickering Town has a lot of fantastic people working voluntary year after year and I would like to send my gratitude to every single one of them.

Football is massive part of my life and also a huge part in all the supporters , volunteers and board members of this club !

I am very privileged to be manager and I will be working tirelessly to bring a smile back to everyone’s faces when football does eventually return to Mill Lane .

But for now please stay safe and follow the government guidelines , so that when we do return we are all there to enjoy our football again.
