Alex Pike has continued to rebuild his Gosport Borough squad by bringing in Duran Martin whilst Jay Keating has appealed to fans to create “a cauldron of noise”.
20-year-old Martin – an Antiguan international – joins from Northern Premier League Corby Town having also played for Banbury United and Oxford United.
Oxford-based Duran played for his country in five Carribean Cup qualifiying matches last year and now joins Gosport’s fight for survival in the National South. He will feature in the crucial six pointer against the Essex side.
Meanwhile, one of Pike’s right-hand-men, Jay Keating, has appealed to the Boro’ fans to create what he hopes will be a special atmosphere.
He said: “I hope the fans can make a cauldron of noise against Thurrock. When we met with Duran Martin, we told him how great and vocal our fans are. Now I want them to show him and the rest of the team how passionate they are.
“It would be nice to hear the drums and the chanting from the start,” he concluded.
