Boston United have issued a lifetime ban to the supporter found responsible for shouting racist abuse during the Worcester City match on February 27.

An incident occurred during the second half of the 1-1 draw at The Jakemans Stadium and the United directors have issued the banning order following the conclusion of their investigations into the matter.

United chairman David Newton told bufc.co.uk: “We have a loyal set of fans who follow the club home and away. Although this was a very rare incident, it was totally unacceptable. We will not tolerate any form of racial harassment and hope that the lifetime ban issued to the perpetrator sends out a clear message.

“I would like to thank Lincolnshire Police for their assistance and I understand they are considering further actions following the admissions made.”
