Craig Elliott wants people to ‘respect the league’ as Boston United prepare to return to The Jakemans Stadium on Saturday.

The Pilgrims cut the gap to the play-off positions to five points following Saturday’s 2-1 victory at Kidderminster Harriers and now get set for the visit of Leamington this weekend (kick-off 3pm).

“I hope that people respect the league,” said Elliott when discussing the ultra-competitive nature of National League North.

“I am not going to say it’s the best league in the world but it is full of competitive teams week in, week out.

“There are hard games every week but we just need to try and get on a bit of a run. Our home form has not been good enough.”
