Boston United have snapped up Woking full-back Ben Gordon on a permanent deal.

The 25-year-old left-sided defender, who started out at Chelsea and has played for the likes of Kilmarnock, Scunthorpe United and Colchester United among others, has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the end of the season after leaving the Surrey-based outfit.

Gordon, who trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Tuesday evening, made six appearances for the Cards during the opening weeks of the National League campaign.

Subject to the necessary National League and Football Association approval being received, Gordon will be eligible to make his United debut at Altrincham on Saturday as the Pilgrims aim to complete September undefeated
