Boston United have taken 19-year-old striker Joe Pugh on loan from League Two side Doncaster Rovers until January 1st 2017.

Pugh signed his professional deal with Rovers in April and is now part of Darren Ferguson`s first-team squad.

Pugh left Premier League Hull City at the end of the 2014/15 season before signing for Doncaster as a first-year scholar in February.

Since then, despite being hit by injury, he went on to impress for both the under-18 and the development side, where he was made captain towards the end of last season.

A ‘no-nonsense’ centre forward, he made his senior debut in a 2-0 win over Mansfield Town in the Checkatrade Trophy.
