Hednesford Town have signed midfielder Jonathan Royle on loan from National League side Wrexham until the end of April.

After completing his scholarship with the Dragons in 2013, he was offered a professional contract.

The midfielder made his senior debut in the final game of the 2012/13 season at Mansfield Town.

After turning professional in the summer of 2013, Royle joined Colwyn Bay on loan for the season and then returned to Llanelian Road for the 2014/15 campaign.

He was given plenty of opportunities this last pre-season to prove his quality to Wrexham and the midfielder was on the bench for the season’s opener at Bromley and started in the 3-1 win at home over Torquay United four days later.

However, a hamstring strain curtailed his progress and saw him forced to endure a stint on the sidelines, a possible return from the injury seeing him damage the same muscle resulting in a second lengthy lay-off.

A spell back out on loan will hopefully aid both the player and Hednesford.
