New Kidderminster Harriers manager John Eustace has insisted next season’s squad must be ready for the battle ahead as the club continues to build for a campaign at a new level.
The most likely outcome is that the reds will start the season in the National League North, a division packed competitive and ambitious clubs.
That means Harriers must be appropriately equipped to handle what’s thrown in front of them.
The Aggborough gaffer is confident his side will represent a scalp for some sides in 2016/17, and says it’ll be down to those players wearing the shirt to deal with it.
Eustace said: “All I will say is that the players who we bring in to Kidderminster will improve the team and be good people on and off the pitch; good, honest people.
“Hopefully we can progress nicely next year… this is a fantastic club and it will be the biggest in the league next year, I’m pretty sure about that.
“The players who come in and those that are here will have to expect to be targeted a little bit, but be mentally strong and ready for a battle.
“We want people who fit that mould and who are good to have around the place.”
