The Western League Premier Division’s Plymouth Parkway are to strengthen their ties with Plymouth Argyle.
League One Argyle and neighbours Parkway have announced a ‘mutually beneficial long-term arrangement.’ This will see an annual pre-season friendly for the next two seasons at least, as well as Argyle’s Under-18 home fixtures being played at Parkway’s ground.
Argyle explain: “In addition, the clubs have agreed to work together on player development opportunities, including loans, where applicable, and exit pathways for young players leaving the Pilgrims’ academy.
“As a part of the agreement, the first of its kind, Argyle’s academy will provide an ongoing and comprehensive educational and professional development programme for Parkway staff and players.”
