Salisbury have extended the loan of Alex Bass from Portsmouth, until the end of the season.

The young stopper who turned 20 on New Year’s Day, has made 25 appearances for Steve Claridge’s side, keeping 9 clean sheets in the process.

It comes as a massive boost for The Whites promotion aspirations, who have won the last seven games, six of those in the league.

Sadly, Kieran Parselle will return to Newport County at the end of January, and it looks as if he could be pushing for a starting place in the League Two side’s starting line-up.

Recently appointed Exiles Boss Graham Westley spoke highly of the on loan Defender.

“I can’t wait to see Kieran back here, I really can’t,”

“The first chance I get to bring him back here I’ll bring him back.

“I like the look of him in training and I want to see if he can be a part of what I’m doing.

“I honestly think he’d be in my team if he was here, based on what I’ve seen.”
