Rees has been involved within the first team for a few seasons, deputising for Nick Hutchings when needed and has impressed with his displays in pre-season games.

Goalkeeping Coach Robbie Yates says that he is convinced that with Rees as a strong understudy to Hutchings and that Poole Town have unparalleled strength in the number one position in the Vanarama National League South.

Hungarian Keeper Dan Kovacs played in the second tier of both the Hungarian and Austrian professional leagues before moving to Dorset.

He has been training under Yates together with Rees and first choice goalkeeper Hutchings for the past year.

After a successful few months at Bemerton Heath Herlequins last season, Kovacs is dual registered this season with near neighbours Bournemouth FC.

He will remain an integral part of the first team structure at Poole, continuing to train with Hutchings and Rees.
