Poole Town have announced the appointment of Gavin Reeves as the Poole Town Development Manager.
The current crop of under-18’s will enter into a programme within men’s football this season, under Gavin’s guidance, and will represent our club in the midweek Wyvern League.
Gavin has been with the club both as a player and as a coach since 1986, and is a qualified UEFA B Coach. He has also been involved at managerial level at a number of Dorset Premier League and Wessex League Clubs. Gavin is a good friend of Tommy Killick and has always remained a part of the Poole Town family. We are fortunate to be able to utilise his experience and knowledge to help guide these young players in the next stage of their careers.
Under the Cub’s new Player Development Programme, this will include integrating younger players into the first-team. The Player Development Programme at Poole Town is designed to create a natural progression from Poole Town (Wessex) Youth teams (from age 8) to the first-team.
Gavin will also liaise with other managers to help the young players get valuable game time in men’s football.
This experience will be vital in bridging the gap from Step 7 to Step 2 in the Vanarama National South League.
