Boss Tom Killick refused to “fixate on the play-off picture” ahead of the business end of Poole Town’s season, the Daily Echo say.
Dolphins will tonight go in search of back-to-back wins for the first time since November when they host mid-table Walton Casuals (7.45pm).
A commanding 3-0 victory over Kings Langley on Saturday boosted Killick’s men to eighth in the table – four points behind fifth-place Harrow Borough with a game in hand.
But the Poole manager would not be drawn into looking at a top-five finish.
He told the Daily Echo: “We’re still trying to step away from fixating on the play-off picture.
“We are just focusing on doing the right things, playing with the right intensity, trying to press. I feel we’ve started to do that consistently well again and that’s what we have to carry on with.
“We have to hope we’re capable of winning games back-to-back. We’re on a mini run, where we’ve been picking up a few more points.
“If we keep that going, our league position will quickly start looking a lot healthier.”
