Boss Tom Killick confirmed Poole Town would be appealing red cards shown to Marvin Brooks and James Constable as part of a controversial finale to their clash with East Thurrock United.

The pair both scored as Dolphins came from two goals down to draw 2-2 at ?Rookery Hill in National South. But Brooks was dismissed by referee Jack Packman for “alleged dissent” in stoppage time, while on-loan frontman Constable was also sent off after the final whistle.

Giving his take on the incidents, Killick told the Daily Echo: “Marvin’s was just before the end of the game and that was for alleged dissent.

“We feel the referee made a significant error in relation to that and will be appealing. After the game, there was a sending off of James Constable.

“Again, as I understand it, for comments made to the referee. But our clear take on that was James wasn’t the person who made the comment the referee alleged was made.”
