Sunderland have now officially recalled Michael Ledger from his loan spell at Hartlepool United and allowed him to join Norwegian outfit Notodden FK on a permanent deal.

The centre-back arrived at Victoria Park on loan at the end of August and made his debut in the 3-1 home win over Maidstone United. Ledger went on to make a further ten appearances in Pools colours but was unfortunate on the injury front as a broken nose as well as back and groin complaints limited his match action.

Recently, the 21-year-old returned to the Black Cats for treatment and during this time a deal was brokered for him to move to Scandinavia.
