Rhys Oates has joined Gateshead on a month-long loan deal from League Two side Hartlepool United.
The front man, who scored in Pools’ Checkatrade Trophy game at Notts County on 
Tuesday, linked-up with his new team-mates in training in Chester-le-Street this morning.
Oates signed for Pools last summer following his release from Barnsley and made forty-five appearances during his first season with the club but has struggled for regular starts this term so far.
The 21-year-old will go straight in to contention for his Gateshead debut this weekend when Neil Aspin’s men host Sutton United at the International Stadium.
