Craig Harrison has been dealt a fresh injury blow with the news that Ryan Donaldson needs an operation to repair ligament damage in his ankle.

The midfielder twisted awkwardly during the first half of the game against Barrow at Victoria Park last Tuesday and had to be substituted.

A specialist has advised that surgery is the only option so Donaldson will now have the operation on Wednesday, which will see him sidelined for around twelve weeks.

“It’s a setback for us and for Ryan because he’s been back in the team, playing well and had got his first goal for the Club recently,” admitted Harrison.
