Hartlepool United youth team prospect Jordan Jewson has joined Evo-Stik Northern Premier League outfit Whitby Town on a month’s loan.

The 17-year-old front man has blasted fourteen league goals so far this term and he will hope to carry on that sparkling form during his time at The Turnbull Ground.

“Jordan has done ever so well for us this season and this is the next stage of his development,” explained Academy Manager John Hewitson.

“At this point in time we feel that he will be best served by getting out and playing some regular adult football and hopefully that experience can help him keep on improving.”

Jewson, who has been with Pools since Under-12 level, has linked-up with The Seasiders in time to go in to their squad for their clash with Darlington at Heritage Park on Tuesday evening.
