Port Vale youngster Omar Haughton has extended his loan spell at Leek Town until the end of the season.

The 18 year old winger originally signed on a month long deal, which expired after Saturday’s game with Coalville Town.

However Lee Casswell has agreed with Vale that he will remain at Harrison Park until the end of the season.

Haughton has made a big impression in the four games he has played for the club with a number of assists and his first goal in the 4-0 win at Daventry Town last week.

Casswell said he was delighted to have the player until the end of the season.

“Omar is a great lad who we think can play a big part in the next 13 games for us. I’m happy he will be here to help our push for the play-offs.
