Bromley have announced that forward George Porter has signed a new contract at Hayes Lane.
The 25-year-old, who was born in Sidcup, will go into his third season with the Ravens, after initially linking up with the club in the summer of 2016, after leaving Welling United. The versatile attacking player made an instant impression with supporters, with his passion and effort on the field making him a popular figure on the terraces.
Porter was delighted to extend his stay with a club he holds very close to his heart: “This club is on the up, and it’s a place you really want to be around. Everyone here has shown belief in me and now it’s time for me to repay that even more so.
“I’ve always given my all on the pitch and I’m looking forward to continuing that into next season. Hopefully, as a team, we can go one better and really achieve something special.”
Manager Neil Smith was pleased to keep Porter at the club: “I’m really pleased George is remaining with us. He’s a firm fans’ favourite now and each week I see an improvement in his game.
“Now I need him to keep putting in great performances, like he did against Leyton Orient, every week and keep showing the passion he has demonstrated in his time with us.”
