Runcorn Linnets have re-signed Freddie Potter after his release by Hallmark Security League Premier Division neighbours, AFC Liverpool.
The deal was completed on Tuesday evening with the striker saying: “I’m made up. It has been a tough few months. I left AFC in November. In my heart and in my head, I knew where I wanted to be.
“I contacted Ello just after Christmas and New Year and he has welcomed me back with open arms.”
Manager Michael Ellison said of the centre forward’s return to the Millbank Linnets Stadium: “We all know what he brings to the club. Hopefully he can bring some goals.
“I think he’s got the bit between his teeth. It’s nice to see him back.”
In his first spell with the club, Freddie scored 30 goals in 55 appearances, including six as a sub.
