Scott Fenwick departs Chelmsford City after one-and-a-half seasons with the club.
The striker from Gateshead joined in March 2018 after leaving Maltese outfit Naxxar Lions. Fenwick went on to become a fans’ favourite and opened his scoring account for the Clarets in the 1-0 win a home over Concord Rangers with a creative overhead kick.
He also went viral on social media shortly afterwards, appearing in a BBC Sport article after scoring a hat-trick of penalties two games in a row in the wins over Whitehawk and East Thurrock United. The striker was retained for the 2018/19 season and led the line for the majority of the campaign alongside top scorer Rhys Murphy.
In total, he made 54 appearances in all competitions, scoring 21 goals and making 23 assists.
Fenwick said: “I’ve loved my time with Chelmsford City and hope to have made an impression with the Clarets faithful.
“As much as I have enjoyed my time here, my desire to play up North and be closer to my family was too strong to turn down.
