Banbury United are celebrating an early boost to their finances for the 2017-18 EVO-STIK League Southern season.
Major sponsors Walraven Limited will have their name adorned across the back of their home kit until the end of the 2018-19 season after signing a two year extension to their current deal with the Puritans in the wake of a sixth place finish for Mike Ford’s side to the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division campaign.
Under the terms of an improved and incentivised deal, the sponsors will continue to advertise pitch side and in the matchday programme at The Banbury Plant Hire Community Stadium and have also committed to upping their financial contribution if the EVO-STIK League Southern Premier Division club wins promotion.
Banbury United chairman Ronnie Johnson said: “This is a fabulous endorsement from Walraven that they want to be working alongside us for the next two seasons with an increased package. We can’t thank them enough.”
Puritans commercial director Mark Allitt said: “I’m delighted that Walraven have taken the bold step to sign a two year extension with the club. They have been instrumental in helping us to establish ourselves as a top Southern League Premier side.
“They will also be increasing the sponsorship amount and have committed to further increased funds if we reach the Conference regional divisions in the next two years so I’m very happy.”
Williams said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be extending our sponsorship of the Banbury United away shirt for the next two seasons. The club have been playing exceptionally well and we are proud to be a part of this local success story.”
She added: “It’s very clear to us that the supporter owned ownership structure is working and that the club is moving forward.”
