‘Don’t stop believing’ is Shaun Pearson’s message to everybody connected with Wrexham after Saturday’s 1-0 win over Maidstone United boosted their promotion challenge.
Pearson’s 75th minute goal secured victory and took Wrexham up to fourth position, five points behind leaders Sutton United with seven games to go. The passionate Reds’ skipper showed what it meant to him following the final whistle and he says the Reds can achieve their goal with everyone’s support.
“It is getting everybody believing,” said Pearson. “It is important that everybody believes at this football club.
“That is what’s going to get us over the line. If we have got five, six, seven, eight thousand people pulling in the same direction, everybody in it together, that is what is going to make a difference for us.
“I express passion, the other lads are no less passionate, they are a bit more reserved. We have got a dressing room where it means a lot to everybody, I am just trying to get everybody believing and seeing that it is there for us if we want it.”
