Ramsbottom United manager Mark Fell has been putting the finishing touches to his squad with the addition of three more players.

Returning to the Harry Williams is dynamic midfielder Tom Brooks, who during his last spell with the club between 2013-15 scored 13 goals in 45 appearances.

22 year old full-back Kyle Brownhill arrives from Altrincham.

The highly-rated player began with Stockport County before moving to Burnley. After a spell with Hyde, he spent two years with AFC Telford United before joining Altrincham last season.

Also arriving from Altrincham is Sam Heathcote, a 6ft 3in central defender who turned out 18 times for the Moss Lane side. Another one who had a spell at Hyde United, the 20 year old is the son of Alty legend Graham Heathcote.

Says Fell “I’m more than happy with the squad that we’ve put together. We kept nine players from last year, and have added well. The group is strong and focussed, although we realise this season is going to be harder than last year.

“I still have a couple of irons in the fire, but the squad is now almost complete, with plenty of versatility.”
