Experienced midfielder Jon-Jo Bates has re-joined Evo-Stik Southern League Division One Central club Beaconsfield Town.

As a teenager at Bedfont Town, Bates impressed enough to convince Dagenham & Redbridge to sign him on professional terms but it didn’t work out for him at the Daggers and after spells at Harrow Borough, Hampton & Richmond Borough and Holmer Green, he was a regular for Northwood in the final months of the 2012/13 season.

He joined Beaconsfield for the first time in October 2013 and made 32 appearances, scoring 7 goals, before moving onto Burnham and then with Uxbridge for three years, where he totalled over 100 games and 10 goals.

The 27-year-old signed for Chesham United at the start of last season and switches to the Rams after appearing 55 times for the Generals.
