Armthorpe Welfare have revealed the identity of the first new player to commit to the club as former Selby Town player Will Ramsay has agreed to play his football at Welfare for the 2017/18 season.

The tough tackling 25 year old midfielder has also played for Hall Road Rangers and is a player manager Mike Carmody has tracked since coming to the Welfare.




Carmody said, “I’m delighted to secure the services of Will for the coming season. I think he will bring some added steel to our team, which something I think we’ve needed. Will brings great NCEL experience and a professionalism in the way he approaches the game. He is a great addition for us as we continue to build for the season ahead. I know he’ll be a fans favourite with his work rate, energy and no nonsense approach. I look forward to working with Will again.”
