Coalville Town have opened a brand new clubhouse and revamped their Owen Street home for their return to the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League’s top flight.
Funded by The Football Foundation, North West Leicestershire District Council and the newly promoted Evo-Stik NPL First Division South play-off winners, construction of the hospitality and changing room facilities started in September 2015 and were used for the first time when the Ravens took on Shepshed Dynamo in a friendly last week.
As well as housing new home and away changing rooms, the newly opened clubhouse, pictured, includes home and away changing rooms, male and female changing rooms for visiting officials, a hospitality and boardroom, kitchen, treatment room and manager’s office.
Delighted Ravens officials say other work completed over the summer included resurfacing all spectator areas, raising terracing in the Shed End, installing new car park lighting, additional turnstiles and a new PA system and turning their old hospitality area into a coffee lounge for fans.
A spokesman said: “Having been under construction for almost 12 months the new changing rooms and hospitality area’s at Owen St are now open for business.”
