Simon Bassey has been confirmed as Portsmouth’s new assistant coach following his departure from Barnet.
Bassey had ended the season leading the Bees but was announced as leaving the National League side at the beginning of this month.
He had been reported as taking on a coaching role at League One Pompey, an appointment that has now finally been officially confirmed.
Manager Danny Cowley told the club’s website: “Simon is a fantastic acquisition for this football club.
“He has an outstanding work ethic, a real love of the game. and all the qualities we look for.”
