Danny Grainger has been named assistant head coach at Falkirk after leaving his role as Workington AFC manager.

The former Carlisle United and Hearts defender heads up Paul Sheerin’s coaching staff at the Scottish League One club.

The 34-year-old told Falkirk’s website:

“I’m looking forward to hopefully pushing the club forward.

“As soon as I spoke to Paul, I knew it was the right move for me, and I can’t wait for the challenges ahead and to work alongside him.”
