Cirencester Town are hoping to break their attendance record next week in the EVO-STIK League Southern to support MacMillan Cancer Support.
The Centurions say they are hoping to break their record gate of 472 for a league fixture at The Corinium Stadium by offering fans free entry to next Tuesday night’s clash with Dunstable Town in the EVO-STIK League Southern’s top flight.
With the fixture taking place during the half-term school holidays, officials are hoping the extra fans already expected to attend the game will give generously to volunteers from the charity who will be holding bucket collections around the ground.
A spokesman said: “The club hopes that fans will be generous as the evening is in aid of Macmillan Cancer – donations, both great or small, will be gratefully received.”
To boost the total raised for charity, officials are also looking for a local company to sponsor the 7.45pm kick-off on Tuesday 25 October. For more information contact football secretary Scott Griffin at: email@example.com.
