Chelmsford City have confirmed that striker Jake Reid has left the club to link up with fellow National League South outfit, Weston-Super-Mare.
Reid, who previously had spells with Maidenhead United, Weymouth, Bath City, Newport County, Telford United, Hayes & Yeading and Bromley, links up with the Seagulls following a loan spell at Ryman League Premier Division side, Metropolitan Police.
The popular frontman deciding to move on in a bid to glean regular first team football.
Speaking about the move, Clarets manager, Rod Stringer, said: “We can’t fault the lads attitude and everything he has done. However, the way things have gone we were happy for him to move on and join Weston-Super-Mare. It has now given us the opportunity get the likes of Philip Roberts involved.”
