New boss Mick Catlin sees no quick remedy for Gosport Borough’s ills.

Yesterday’s 3-1 home defeat by Bishops Stortford leaves Borough three points adrift at the foot of the Evo-Stik South Premier table and Catlin warned: “Things will get worse before they get better.”




Hampered by a transfer embargo and a host of injuries, Gosport have another crucial clash ahead of them tomorrow (Monday, 7.45pm) away at fellow strugglers Dorchester Town.

“The lads are doing the best they can under the circumstances,” said Catlin. “The squad is low on numbers and, because of the embargo, we are restricted in bringing in replacements.
