Neil Reynolds now has his backroom staff in place after the switch to FC United.
Jamie Milligan and Mike Faulkner are the two new additions to the team as they join as Assistant Manager and Head of Player Development & Analysis. Milligan is also registered as a player.
He started his playing career for Everton in the Premier League before turning out for Blackpool in the Football League. During his non-league career he has played for the likes of Southport, Stockport, Hyde and Fleetwood, where he was club captain and FC United supporters may remember in 2007 him scoring the two goals that knocked them out of the FA Cup.
Most recently he has been a player coach at Bamber Bridge and runs the Milligan & McCann football academy in Lytham St Annes with Gavin McCann.
On his two new additions to the coach team, Reynolds said: “In my opinion there’s not been a better non-league player over the last 10 years than Jamie and I’ve got no doubt that he can still do a job for us as a player. Over the last few years he has taken his UEFA badges and developed his coaching and now runs his own academy.”
He added: “Mike and I have and grown up together and go back 25 years. He is someone I trust completely. He is a level 2 coach and has a deep knowledge of football and knows everyone in the game. Mike will be spending time working one to one with players on specific areas to develop them.”
Elsewhere, Dave Chadwick will remain at the club in a new role as Head of Coaching after being interim manager since the departure of Tom Greaves earlier on in the season. Paul Chapman and Olivia Smith will also remain at the club in their current roles as Goalkeeping Coach and Head Physio.
