Chester FC have announced that forward Kane Richards has signed up for the 2016/17 season.

Richards, 21, was in terrific form towards the end of the season – scoring in crucial wins over Welling United and Gateshead – and was also a part of the side that picked up the win at Grimsby Town which secured safety.

Richards will be forever remembered in folklore at Chester for his goal against Wrexham back in October 2015 in the 3-2 Cross-Border triumph.

Richards said: “I’m happy to sign back up.

“I felt it was the right thing for me – I didn’t play as many games as I hoped last season – but now is the time to start producing like I did in the last few games of the season.”
