Hartlepool United defender Jordan Richards has extended his loan stay with Alfreton Town until the end of the season.

The full-back joined the National League North outfit at the beginning of February and has so far made six appearances for the Nottinghamshire side who currently sit 17th in the table.

Town were keen to keep the 23-year-old for the remainder of the campaign and now boss Dave Jones has given the green light to a loan extension.

Richards will now stay at The Impact Arena until 10th May where he is playing alongside former Pools star Andy Monkhouse who is a player coach with The Reds.
