Barrow manager Ian Evatt has emerged as a candidate for the Rochdale job.
The League One side are in the hunt for a new boss after sacking Keith Hill yesterday. Evatt, who is 37-years-old, is the frontrunner for the vacant position on SkyBet.
He was appointed manager of National League side Barrow in June and his side are currently 12th in the league.
Evatt was placed in caretaker charge of Chesterfield at the end of last season but could not prevent them from slipping into non-league. Nevertheless, the damage was already done and he has grasped his opportunity to impress at Barrow.
