Colwyn Bay boss Alan Morgan has received agreement from Tranmere Rovers to extend Elliot Rokka’s loan period for a further month ahead of Saturday’s important home game against Kendal Town (3pm).

The 21-year-old’s initial one-month stay expired this week, but two postponements due to the weather means the winger only managed three games and one goal, with another unluckily disallowed, during that time. With the Bay scheduled to face a crucial run of games in February, Morgan was keen to keep him longer.

The club have announced that they have released forward Gary Burnett who has been out of action all season and is still recovering from knee surgery. He is some way from full fitness and his local club Atherton Collieries have shown an interest in signing him.
