Bradford Park Avenue have signed winger Gavin Rothery on loan from league rivals Gainsborough Trinity until the end of the season.
Rothery links up once more with Mark Bower who managed him at Guiseley AFC for almost all of his three-year spell in charge.
The 29-year-old has spent the majority of his career at Nethermoor, making 196 appearances in a six-year spell.
The left-sided player made thirty-three appearances in the National League last season though, before moving to Gainsborough in the summer.
He has made just fifteen appearances in an injury-hit season however, though he has scored both of Gainsborough’s goals against Avenue this term.
Prior to scoring 46 goals in the league and cup for Guiseley, Rothery appeared for Carlisle and Barrow, and played internationally for England under-19s.
Rothery comes in with Avenue left winger Nicky Boshell set for a longer spell on the sidelines than first expected after picking up an ankle injury at Curzon Ashton.
Avenue left winger Tom Davie is also currently on loan at Rothery’s parent club until the penultimate game of the season.
