Tranmere Rovers manager Micky Mellon says that the squad will be working hard on the training ground to put New Year’s Day’s defeat at Macclesfield Town behind them.
Rovers were defeated 4-2 at the Moss Rose and are now without a game until January 14, meaning plenty of time to work with the players on the training pitch.
The manager said: “It would be nice to play again soon after to get the defeat at Macclesfield Town out of our system, but we’ll get back out on the training pitch and work hard to improve the group.
“It’s a long season and there’s a lot of football still to be played.
“We’re disappointed but as professionals, it’s our job to bounce back as quickly as possible.
“We’ll look at the best things we can do to move the team forward and keep improving things.”
