Micky Mellon says that he’s looking forward to Tuesday night’s big game at Prenton Park as his Tranmere Rovers side take on third-placed Forest Green Rovers.

Tranmere are level on points with Lincoln City with just a three-goal advantage for the Imps, who do though have a game in hand.

The manager said: “To be back here again at Prenton Park on Tuesday night, under the lights in such as massive game, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else so I’m looking forward to it.

“We’ll get the team prepared and go and give it our best shot again.

“This is football and if you don’t do it right, you’ll get a large kick in your proverbials. It’s all about keeping focused now and the players know what is required at all times.

“We’ll continue to keep the standards really high as well as the motivation levels and just carry on as we have been.

“We’ve won six on the trot and it’s still neck and neck, so nothing has been achieved yet.

“We move onto another massive game on Tuesday which we will prepare right for and go again.”
