Tranmere Rovers go into Saturday’s home game against Woking (3pm) with a number of injury problems.
Speaking to the press this afternoon, interim manager Paul Carden confirmed that Rovers are going to be missing five senior players this weekend.
He told Tranmere Player HD: “We won’t have anybody back in time for Saturday.
“Jake Kirby is probably the one closest to getting back. We hope he’ll be back training at the end of next week so if that goes to play he may be available for Dagenham.
“After him is Jay Harris who is a couple of weeks away while Adam Mekki is about three weeks away.
“Connor Jennings is still a long way off, he’s likely to be out for another 8-10 weeks and we have Jeff Hughes out with his ban.
“So we are light on numbers but it is what it is and it gives opportunities for players who maybe wouldn’t have had the chance otherwise.”
