Tranmere Rovers have completed the signing of 18-year-old striker Ethan Jones on a youth loan from English Football League One side Shrewsbury Town until January.
Jones has come through the youth Academy at the Greenhaus Stadium and signed his first professional contract for the club in October 2015.
After a number of times as an unused substitute, he made his senior debut for The Shrews on the final day of last season against Swindon Town.
This season, Jones has made further appearances in the Shrewsbury first team, starting twice and making three additional substitute appearances, his last appearance coming in the EFL Trophy against Cambridge United at the end of August.
Manager Gary Brabin said: “We’re delighted to bring Ethan to the Club. He is a young, talented forward who will give us another attacking dimension.
“We’ve watched him a number of times and have been impressed every time. I’d like to thank Micky Mellon and Shrewsbury Town for allowing Ethan to come here.”
